“Was She Silently Getting Raped?”

She was not a prostitute but then why was she being treated like one? And more importantly, why was she ok with it?

The curtains had been drawn. The light was dim, and behind closed doors a man and a woman were engaging in the act of physical love. The man was angry, maybe even frustrated. The woman was silent and emotionless.

He was thrusting himself onto the woman, and she was silently bearing the pain of this act. She did not reciprocate any of the love, and just lay their like a dead body. Neither she was enjoying sex, nor was she paid a dime for it. Was she getting raped — but then why was she not opposing?

Whatever the arrangement was, both the man and the woman were ok with it.

For 10 minutes, the man continued to vent out his frustration, and she kept gazing at the ceiling fan. Eventually, the act finished. The curtains were drawn back and the lights were switched on.

Both got dressed up, and came out of the room as the ideal married couple the world believes them to be.

No words were spoken. In fact, nothing was left to be spoken.

Which is a more gruesome act? — The one that was happening behind the closed doors? Or the one, that is happening in front of the world?
